CPU Performance

The gap between laptop and desktop computers in the CPU performance department is closer than the graphics section gap, but there’s still a difference. Both Z40 and G501 are first-rate in their respective class and cost almost the same. In the gaming world, the cost does not matter. Good games need high-quality GPUs and CPUs. If you want to experience high-quality gaming experience, you need to buy the top-of-the-line gears.

 Upgrade-ability

This section is leaning towards desktop computers, no doubt. If you are looking for a quality machine and planning to upgrade later, the only way is to buy a desktop computer. Most laptops for gaming have removable hard drives that you can update and 4 RAM slots if you want to add more, but that’s it, you are pretty stuck with the what is inside your laptop. Even if you’re going to change the GPU of your unit, it will be costly, that it is better to buy a new gaming laptop with better quality. It is where value becomes very important. If you are paying more money for a laptop that is less powerful compared to a desktop computer, then it will be a bad deal. Some high-end desktops computers are half the price of a laptop.
